Unit 2- Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol is a very influential artist whom is still very relevant today. Even though I am not an art major I've seen a lot of his work and know his name well. His art is known mainly for celebrity culture and advertisement. Andy Warhol is very well known and died fairly young. Andy used many techniques in his work such as sculpture, film, photography, and music. His work is very bright and eye-catching. His work on celebrity's and food labels has given his work the name "pop art." I feel Andy Warhol is more famous now than he ever was alive. When he was alive he made many connections and continued his growth in fame. His work now is worth millions and is very rare. His most known piece is "Silver Car Crash" worth 105.4 million. He used unique techniques for his work, brand names, and famous people to catch the viewer's eye. I feel even in 50 years people will know who Andy Warhol is and how influential he was. He has impacted many artists today trying to make it big and his work lives on.
